Krista Manzanares - Krista has been a proud member of the Lady Ducks since she was 10 years old. She was the goalie on the 2005 12U Pacific District Championship team, which began a great winning tradition for the LD organization. Her goal this season is to once again play in the USA Hockey Girls’ National Championships. She looks forward to playing hockey for a Division I or III college, and is working hard to make that a reality. She is a sophomore at Trabuco Hills High School in Mission Viejo, where she maintains a 4.27 GPA and enjoys playing lacrosse. After being asked by her coach to try goalie this year, she has been attending clinics and camps to better her skills. She has quickly come to love the position and hopes to be starting on the Varsity team this season. When not playing sports or doing homework, she enjoys boating with her family on Lake Havasu, going to the beach, and listening to music. She lives in Rancho Santa Margarita with her 13 year old brother Scott, dog Lucy, and her Mom and Dad. Congratulations Krista!
Lauren Hume - Lauren is in her first season with the Lady Ducks after moving down to Southern California from NorCal and the Lady Sharks program. Lauren is the oldest of 5 kids - sisters are Emma (12), Katie (7) and Gracie (1) and brother John (11). When she is at home, she also has a dog, a cat, a hamster, a tortoise and a fish (we have a full house when everyone's around!) Lauren lives in Tustin during the school year with her grandmother to play on the Lady Ducks. She is in 8th grade at Pioneer Middle School and earned a 3.5 grade point average last quarter, which was her best so far. When Lauren isn't playing hockey, she likes to cook, or read or play Rock Band. She also likes to skateboard and swim and hang out with friends. Lauren is afraid of scary movies and rollercoasters, reserving all of her fearlessness for the ice. She loves ice hockey, she never wants to miss a practice and has been known to disappear Friday afternoon of tournament weekends, watch every single game that she isn't playing in, and come home Sunday night, looking for a hockey game on TV.
Michaela Kyte -
Tia Stoddard - Tia, 10 years old, is in her second season with the Lady ducks. She is the youngest of five children: sisters - Cailyn (15), Jo Ann (18), Cheryl-Lei (20) and brother - John (21) who she takes after when it comes to hockey. She is a 5th grader at Murdock Elementary in Spring Valley (SD County). Her favorite subjects are Art, PE and Science. Besides having fun with her Lady Ducks teammates, her spare time involves drawing, playing outside with her friends, skate boarding, and shooting pucks and hoops. At five, she was introduced to developmental hockey which opened the doorway to her love of hockey. Tia's first association with the Lady Ducks was when the Lady Ducks 12U team won Nationals. Tia saw their picture in the USA Hockey magazine and had asked if she could play on a team like this. Making a phone call to a friend of mine whose son played for the Anaheim Jr. Ducks lead me in contact with Coach Kathy. She invited Tia to come to some “drop in” practices which after several practices, by surprise; she was invited by Coach Vicky to play with the Lady Ducks at the Connecticut Polar Bears Ice Hockey Tournament. She joins the Lady Ducks again this season as a strong forward and also as an Assistant Captain.
Cortney Reyes - Cortney is in 3rd grade at Wickman Elementary School in Chino Hills, where she earned straight A’s for her 1st trimester. She has an older brother (18), an older sister who plays on the Lady Ducks 12U team (11) and a twin sister (8). Cortney enjoys dancing and reading in her spare time. She is the fashion expert in her house; even her older sister asks for an opinion of her wardrobe. She was asked to play on the 8U Tournament Team that Coach Kathy put together to play in San Jose last January and has been really enjoying herself playing on that tournament team as well as the 8U in-house team. She played softball for a season, but decided she liked playing hockey better.

with the Beach City Lightning as a mite and squirt. Then the family moved to
Northern CA and she played for the Capital Thunder, California Gold Rush and the

attend college next fall in Santa Barbara. Kenny is a former Beach City

is not on the ice, she enjoys spending time with her friends, her little sister
(isabella), and her big brother (Anthony). Jules really enjoys music. In fact,
every year she and her friends compete in her school's annual lip sync contest -
just don't ask her to really sing. Juliana is also an Indian princess in the
mighty Shawnee Tribe. Shopping, sewing, and baking are also big on her activity
list. Jules loves to snowboard, swim, hike, and snorkel. She enjoys traveling
and exploring different places - especially Hawaii. Her favorite T.V. show is
"Project Runway" and her favorite movies are "27 Dresses" and "Iron Man".
Lilli Marchant - Lilli is a very versatile player for the 10U Lady Ducks
this season, playing center and defense. She has been with the program since her
family moved here in 2006-2007 season and has worked hard to become a solid
center and improve her shooting skills. Lilli loves hockey but enjoys many
sports and is a very active child. She plays Club Soccer for the Tustin United
GU11 team at the Silver Elite Level. This year she made the Volleyball team for
her school, Peters Canyon Elementary. They won the championship!! Now she will
prepare for Softball starting in January.
On her down time Lilli loves to downhill ski, snowboard and hang with her
brother, Timmy, and her sister and teammate, Ashley (LD 8U and 10U). She enjoys
listening to music and making jewelry, she says it is relaxing. Lilli says her
favorite of all she does is playing hockey and having FUN with her LD teammates.
Great work!!
Lindsay Reyes - Lindsay is in 3rd grade at Wickman Elementary School in
Chino Hills, where she earned all A's and one B for her 1st trimester. She has
an older brother (18), an older sister who plays on the Lady Ducks 12U team (11)

She is really enjoying playing on the tournament team as well as the in-house
team. She also played softball for a season, but enjoys hockey more.

quiet but is a fierce competitor and hopes to help
the Lady Ducks 12s go back to National Championships
this year in Rochester, NY.

was instrumental in securing the 10U team's victory in the Lady

Lauren Kilroy -
Since joining the Lady Ducks this season, "Killer" has been
dominant on defense and a stand out in the peewee A division for the
Lady Ducks 12U team. Lauren is a great athlete and a very tough competitor.
Lauren has also put a number of points up on the board from the blue

and secure wins for her team. Lauren's goals include playing hockey in
college and developing more offensive skills coming in from the point.
Great job this month, Lauren!

16U - Alyssa Malana
 |
12U - Noelle White
 |
10U - Jennifer Sierra
 |
Alyssa Malana -
Alyssa is a first-year Lady Duck player this season.
Stepping up into the 16U division is tough but she has shown a great deal of tenacity on the ice all year.
She has strengthened her scoring touch throughout the season finding ways to get odd-man rushes and put the puck in the net.
She is near the top of her team in goals scored.
Alyssa played strong at the Pacific District Championships following a big hit (vs. a boys' team) prior to the tournament.
Alyssa is also a strong roller player for her high school team and a good student.
Great work this month!
Noelle White -
WOW!!
There's not a lot more to say about her!
A first-time ice hockey player and goalie, Noelle went from just learning to deal with ice hockey skates to playing with the Lady Ducks in the Peewee A division in SCAHA.
She saw a consistent drop in her goals-against as the season went on.
She was outstanding in girls' Tournaments.
And, she'll be returning to the 12U team next year.
Noelle had an incredible season and topped it off with an amazing Pacific District Championships, allowing only 2 goals in 6 games!
What an effort, NoEEEE.
Jennifer Sierra -
Little Jen Jen. Jennifer is a mite-aged player on the 10U team.
This is her second year on the Lady Ducks and although it took a lot of patience while she grew into her age group, she has stepped up to shine on the scoreboard this month, in amazing fashion.
It started at the Arizona tournament and Jen has been on a roll ever since.
With fast skating, driving to the net and an overall improvement in reading the play, puck control and passing, Jennifer has started to come into her own.
The good news is we have her for 2 more seasons at the 10U level!
Great work Jen!
